Data Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

This page is maintained by the Availabuddy team (a product of Spacers). It describes current practices; it isn't a certification or audit.

What data we store

Availabuddy stores only what's needed to make the app work: account info (email, display name), the groups you create, the dates and availability people submit, notes, reactions, comments, and email invites you send.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database hosted on our infrastructure provider. Email delivery goes through a transactional email provider. These providers process data on our behalf under standard data-processing terms and don't use it for their own purposes.

How it's protected

  • All traffic between your browser and Availabuddy uses HTTPS.
  • The database uses row-level security so users only see data they're allowed to.
  • Access to production systems is limited to a small number of operators.
  • We don't store passwords — authentication is handled by our auth provider using industry-standard hashing.

What we do with it

We use your data to:
  • Run the app — show your groups, availability, and notes to the right people.
  • Send account-related emails (group-code recovery, email invites you initiated, Pro reminders).
  • Count how many users have signed up, how many are on Pro, and how many groups exist — so we can plan the product.
  • Let you edit, rename, or delete the groups you own.
We don't use your data for anything else — no ad targeting, no reselling, no AI training.

Deleting your data

Delete a group from the group page (trash icon) and its contents are removed. To delete your account and everything tied to it, email support@availabuddy.app and we'll do it. Deleted data is removed from the active database promptly and cycles out of backups within a reasonable window.

Data breaches

If we ever discover unauthorized access to your data, we'll notify affected users by email as soon as we understand the scope. We recommend using a unique password for your Availabuddy account.
